Our métier exists between what is time-bound and what is timeless. PHYSIK is defined by a narrow and deliberate focus. We cultivate where care is exacting, quality is finite, and standards of excellence endure.
What appears simple is the result of long consideration, inherited knowledge, and an uncompromising regard for material integrity. Here, devotion reveals beauty, and vitality becomes a practice of daily life.
We source exclusively seeds of rare provenance, farmed at the highest standard we know within Austria’s heritage of biodynamic agriculture, yielding luxuriant foods of peerless purity.
PUMPKIN SEED OIL
The founding oil
Within Austria lives a particular wisdom long observed by its Alpine clinics and sanctuaries: that natural beauty is the expression of a body in balance. Born of the heirloom Styrian pumpkin seed, pumpkin seed oil remains among Austria’s most enduring naturopathic traditions. Gently cold-pressed raw by a sixth-generation miller in one of Austria’s pristine protected ecosystems, each bottle is filled on the miller’s acreage at a considered volume of 250ml. The oil is singular in its balancing properties and distinguished by a range of restorative virtues. Taken daily, as balance returns within the body, it becomes a practice through which this essence of refinement in wellness is made one's own.
100% Biodynamic Heirloom Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil The heirloom Styrian pumpkin is a hulless variety native to Austria’s cool climate, fertile soils, and the generational hand of its growers. Few seeds belong so wholly to the place in which they are grown.

Distinguished by a profile of uncommon coherence, pumpkin seed oil works to restore and maintain hair density and follicular vitality, temper inflammation, support cellular repair, preserve the skin’s natural resilience, and contribute to restorative sleep and a settled nervous system. Its gentle approach to hormonal balance regulates rather than suppresses or stimulates. The oil's naturally occurring phytosterols, essential fatty acids, zinc, Vitamin E, and squalene support the skin barrier and provide antioxidant protection, while magnesium, tryptophan, and tyrosine contribute to mood, sleep, and steadiness. Anti-inflammatory and antiparasitic properties complete a restorative composition. Recognized for centuries in Austria as a medicinal oil and later integrated into the protocols of Modern Mayr Medicine, pumpkin seed oil remains a subject of contemporary study in areas relating to hair loss, hormonal regulation, metabolic health, liver function, and longevity. Over time, these properties support the visible qualities long associated with natural beauty. Alpha-Linolenic Acid (Omega-3) · Linoleic Acid (Omega-6) · Oleic Acid (Omega-9) · Beta-Carotene (Provitamin A) · Beta-Sitosterol · Calcium · Chlorophyll · Copper · Iron · Magnesium · Manganese · Phytosterols · Polyphenols · Potassium · Selenium · Squalene · Tocopherols (Vitamin E) · Tryptophan · Tyrosine · Zinc

A biodynamic farm is alive with interdependence: wildflowers growing between crops, herbal compost preparations intrinsic to the life of the soil, animals moving through the landscape, and fertility generated entirely from the farm itself. Guided by observation and intuition, the farm becomes one elegant living system governed by the celestial rhythms central to biodynamic cultivation, ever abundant through generations of agricultural know-how, sensitivity, and stewardship. Among the world’s rarest and most exacting approaches to cultivation, biodynamics remains central to Austria’s agricultural heritage, where the vitality of the land and the vitality of the harvest remain inseparable.

Our labels, seals, and stationery are printed in Austria on a 1914 Heidelberg press from custom-engraved brass plates. Printed onto mould-made paper milled in France, they retain the fibrous texture and quiet irregularities characteristic of handmade paper. The machine supports the craft — each letterpress label imprints ever so slightly differently. Our 250ml dark glass bottle is sized to preserve the oil at its freshest and deliver a controlled pour of a single tablespoon. Designed to rest naturally in the palm, the bottle opens to a plume of aromatics beneath an aluminum food-grade closure.
